Epoque & Avantgarde Hotels Grows to 300 Properties

Epoque & Avantgarde Hotels continue to excel in establishing itself as the most coveted collection of trend-setting and luxury-classic boutique hotels. In mid July 2007 the American Hotel Representation Company reaches 300 properties in the top worldwide destinations, adding thirty more to its portfolio from the beginning of the year.

Several of the most recent acquisitions are also located in new attractive sites. For example, the Sugar Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, is the second property in the African continent together with the Murano Oriental in Marrakech, which opened last February. The Dream Bangkok, sister Hotel of the Dream Hotel in New York, is also an addition to Epoque & Avantgarde Hotels' interest in the Asian market. The Hotel 27 in Copenhagen, with its newly opened Absolut Ice Bar, is instead the confirmation of the company's appreciation of the Scandinavian appeal.

Other properties consolidate its portfolio in destinations in which the company is already well established, such as France with the 9 Hotel and the Hotel Pulitzer Opera, both in Paris, and Spain with the Hospes Madrid and the Hospes Palacio del Bailio in Cordoba. Worth pointing out is also the growing collection of exotic South and Central American boutique hotels that now include dreamy and unusual resorts such as the Xaloc Resort in Isla Holbox, Mexico or the Elan Hotel in Calafate, on the Patagonian glaciers.

Hilton Announces Plans for European Development Deal -- 25 New Properties Expected Across Russia, Central and Eastern Europe

Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT) announced that the company and Belgravia Asset Management Limited (Belgravia) have agreed upon the terms that Hilton will offer Belgravia for a Strategic Development Agreement (SDA) which, when signed, will provide the opportunity for Belgravia to introduce 25 new hotels (comprising 3,000 rooms) across Russia -- one of the company's key strategic development markets -- as well as other Central and Eastern European markets.

Over the next five years, Hilton and Belgravia expect to introduce both Hampton by Hilton(TM) and Hilton Garden Inn(TM) hotels across Russia, Central and Eastern European markets, all of which Hilton expects to manage. The first property is expected to be a Hampton by Hilton hotel in St Petersburg, which is expected to open during the second quarter of 2008

This will be the second major Russian hotel development announcement with a leading property partner this year, as the company concentrates on multi-unit deals in key emerging markets. In June this year Hilton announced a SDA with London & Regional Properties Limited to develop 25 new hotels, encompassing selected brands within the Hilton Family of Hotels, including Conrad(R), Hilton(R), Doubletree by Hilton(TM), Hilton Garden Inn(TM) and Hampton by Hilton(TM) hotels.

Over the next ten years, Hilton plans to open 70 Hilton Family hotels across Russia, not only focussing on Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also actively looking at opportunities in key regional cities.

Separate from the anticipated SDA with Belgravia, Hilton's first hotel in Russia will be the 275-room Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya, which is scheduled to open early next year.

"With the limited number of internationally branded properties in Russia, this anticipated alliance with Belgravia Financial Services Group will help us accelerate our growth plans and make a significant impact on the Russian hotel market in a relatively short space of time, said Ian Carter, Chief Executive of Hilton's International Operations. "The introduction of additional brands from the Hilton Family of Hotels will also enable us to meet rising demands for quality accommodation, as well as providing a hotel product to suit all sectors and budgets."

Duncan Hickman, Belgravia Chairman said: "As a result of extensive research Belgravia has confirmed that the Russian economy hotel sector offers tremendous growth opportunities. The choice of partner for this sector was critical and the global presence and respect for Hilton sealed our choice of partner; giving us the confidence to be sure that this alliance will be a huge success."

Over the next five years, Hilton expects to offer travellers to Russia a choice of accommodation ranging from its well known hotel brand Hilton, which will be joined by Doubletree by Hilton in catering to demands for upscale accommodation. Today's announcement means that in the near future, Hilton expects travellers to soon be able to stay in Hilton Garden Inn properties, the company's ever-popular mid-market brand, as well as Hampton by Hilton, which is targeted at budget conscious travellers.

While initial projects will be in Russia, Hilton would also like to introduce its Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton product in other Eastern and Central European countries where Belgravia currently has a significant number of projects underway

The Hilton Garden Inn® locations feature: a signature glass-walled pavilion housing the reception desk; a Pavilion Pantry with a selection of refrigerated, frozen and microwaveable packaged items, and sundries; a full service restaurant offering hot made-to-order breakfast; room service during dinner hours; a workout facility, swimming pool and whirlpool, and an on-site guest laundry facility.

Many of the hotel guestrooms now feature the Garden Sleep SystemTM bed; Mirra® chair by Herman Miller and a 26" high definition flat screen television. Standard guestroom attributes include a spacious and clutter-free work desk; complimentary high-speed Internet access and remote printing to the hotel‚s complimentary 24-hour business center; electrical outlets at desk height; a clock that allows guests to play their portable CD or MP3 player; a hospitality center with a microwave oven, coffee maker and mini refrigerator; a sitting area with an easy chair and ottoman; and two speaker telephones equipped with data ports and voice mail. In-room entertainment and information services include video-on-demand movies, video games and interactive Hilton guest services.

For recreation, Hilton Garden Inn hotels offer a complimentary workout facility with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength training equipment and Stay Fit Kits® available for complimentary check-out from the front desk.

HYATT HOTEL & RESORTS

Hyatt Regency Denver Implements Innovative Environmental Sustainability Efforts with Help from Staff and Guests -- Seeking to Become Colorado’s First Hotel with Green Seal Certification

Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center has started to implement a comprehensive sustainability program designed to minimize the hotel’s overall carbon footprint and decrease its environmental impact. Global Hyatt Corporation is committed to environmental responsibility, and Hyatt Regency Denver (Hyatt) strives to lead the way with sustainable environmental initiatives that will have a long-lasting impact on the community.

“Sparked by the passion of our staff and our customers, and Hyatt’s desire to be a part of the solution, we felt compelled to develop and implement long-term sustainability programs that would have lasting, positive results,” commented John Schafer, general manager of Hyatt Regency Denver. “Living in Colorado and waking up to one of the most magnificent views every day is a constant reminder of our connection to the natural world. At Hyatt, we want to be proactive leader within our industry to ensure that we are making good choices with positive impacts for future generations.”

Hyatt’s program focuses on water savings, energy savings, waste reduction/recycling, and staff environmental education. These areas of emphasis mark Hyatt’s commitment to genuine stewardship and shared responsibility, and support Global Hyatt’s environmental efforts being implemented around the world:

Water Conservation

Designed with guestroom low flow pluming fixtures including toilets (1.4 gallon tanks), faucets (rated 1.5 gallons per minute), and showerheads (rated 2.5 gallons per minute);

Converted automatic hand sinks and urinals in public restrooms to low flow units;

Implemented a climate-appropriate landscape design with a water efficient irrigation system; Established policy that housekeeping only changes bed linens at the request of the customer and when rooms are newly occupied;

and serve water by request only in banquets.

In 2007, the hotel had an annual consumption of 45 million gallons of water, and without these implemented features, would likely have seen an increase of 10 percent of the annual water consumption.

Reducing the Carbon Footprint

Installed a hydronic plate cooling system that utilizes outside air to cool the hotel when temperature variations allow;
Converted 95 percent of the hotel’s light bulbs to energy saving fluorescent bulbs;
Reclamation of heat from laundry waste water to preheat incoming cold water; and
Whenever possible, chefs use locally grown produce.

Based on the use of compact florescent as opposed to incandescent light bulbs in the 1,100 guestrooms, the hotel has realized a savings of 1,171,207.62 Kwh per year, which reflects a 6.5% savings in annual consumption.

Reducing Landfill Waste and Recycling

Placed newspaper racks on each guest floor as opposed to individual room delivery;
First hotel in Denver to use a Waste Management single stream recycling compactor;
Placed recycling bins in all guest rooms (1,100), and placed tandem trash/recycling bins with informational signage in all public areas;
Implemented a recycling program and tandem trash/recycling bins for staff and restaurant; and
Converted “to-go” containers to biodegradable containers.

As a result, Hyatt has reduced an estimated 25 percent of its landfill waste, and continues to monitor its business practices for avenues for additional waste reduction methods.

Staff Education
Additionally, Hyatt has invested resources into creating a culture of environmental awareness and education of its staff by creating an active Green Committee of employees from various operations and executive departments. The committee of individuals serve as environmental ambassadors providing leadership, driving change, and increasing awareness on multiple environmental issues within the workplace and beyond. Not only does the Hyatt Green Committee develop and implement change initiatives at work, but each member looks for ways to educate fellow associates. For example, in celebration of Earth Week 2008, the committee provided fluorescent light bulbs and environmental educational information to employees for their use at home. Hyatt has also hosted internal meetings specifically to educate staff on the hotel’s sustainability efforts; brought in industry experts, such as Waste Management, for internal trainings; and provided environmental, educational and technical materials in several languages such as Spanish and Russian.

Hyatt has already seen positive results from all of its initiatives, and plans to apply for a “Green Seal Certification” by the end of 2008. Green Seal is a national non-profit that has developed “science-based environmental certification standards that are credible, transparent, and essential in an increasingly educated and competitive marketplace.” If successful, Hyatt is on track to becoming the first Green Seal certified hotel in Colorado.

GRAND HYATT DENVER LAUNCHES $3.9 MILLION SUITE RENOVATION
Ready in time for the August Democratic National Convention

With the Democratic National Convention fast approaching, the general manager of the award-winning Grand Hyatt Denver Downtown, Ed Bucholtz, announces a $3.9 million renovation of the hotel's premier suites plus the Grand Club. More than $350,000 will go into updating each three-room unit, the largest measuring close to 800 square feet, promising that they will be like none-other in the Mile High City. The over-the-top design includes millwork with custom crown molding and rich, warm woodwork, complemented with punches of bright color.

The timeless, classic residential feel carries into the bath that features television sets embedded in the mirrors, vessel sinks set atop a cantilevered vanity and ceramic tile walls surrounding a free-standing bath tub. Glass graces the upper portion of the walls that separate this space from the sleeping area. These suites embrace the great room concept that is so prevalent in home design today and, in keeping with the latest trend, are void of a formal dining area. With all singularly appointed, a custom color palette has been created for each. Accents of fresh, natural greens and blues to striking oranges and golds play off of deep brown and tan walnut case pieces and genuine leather furnishings. The large, built-in LCD television set is easily viewed from anywhere in the room incorporating elements reminiscent of home that are not generally found in hotel accommodations. Parlor entryways are granite-touched, as are the kitchenettes, which are offset by deep-toned cabinetry.

Green Design Elements

Certainly, today's societal concern for the environment is carefully considered. To answer that, the Grand Hyatt Denver design team insured that each accommodation is fully equipped with the most up-to-date and technically savvy energy saving devices from individual, digitally controlled thermostats to fixtures that conserve water to florescent light bulbs. Structurally, these suites are completely re-engineered with this goal in mind, achieving it with reconfigured walls and ceilings that capture and contain air to maintain rooms at a proper temperature with minimal energy consumption. Even the elevators that deliver hotel guests to the top floors where these suites are housed have been re-tooled for efficiency and speed of service.

Grand Hyatt Denver Houses Colorado Contingent

During the Democratic National Convention, AAA Four Diamond Grand Hyatt Denver hosts the Colorado delegation. It is located one block from the Mile-High City's hub, the Sixteenth Street Mall, and a simple walk to the Colorado Convention Center. The Grand Hyatt boasts the city's premier banquet facility, The Pinnacle Club by Grand Hyatt, which will see solid activity throughout the five-day world-focused convention. From this vantage point on the 38th floor of the adjoining office tower, the entire Rocky Mountain Front Range is clearly visible, from Pikes Peak to the Wyoming border, with the city skyline in the foreground. Additionally, the hotel provides 512 guest rooms, some of the region's most spacious, each featuring the Hyatt Grand Bed, high speed internet access, well-lit work stations and complimentary access to the health club, indoor pool and outdoor whirlpool, tennis court and jogging track. The restaurant, 1876, named for the year Colorado became a state, this summer features a special prix fixe menu for just $52.80 per couple incorporating products, herbs and spices indigenous to the area and calling to mind the fact that Denver is one mile, 5280 feet, above sea level.

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts is First Hotel Chain to Create Destination-Specific Digital Dowload Music Program

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has announced its new digital download music pilot program, in partnership with leading digital music agency Audiosuite, at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch and Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa located between Austin and Bastrop, Texas.

Individual properties will offer unique, destination-specific music collections, making Hyatt’s program truly a first in the industry. Each property’s signature collections will be available online for users to download in a universally compatible MP3 format – the most widely utilized digital music format – so guests can bring their Hyatt experience home.

Hyatt plans to roll out the new digital download program to its properties across North America and the Caribbean throughout 2007. Both Hyatt’s Scottsdale and Lost Pines resorts now feature music on property that celebrates the respective destination as well as showcases international and local artists. The tone, style and pace of the music adjusts throughout each day to capture the essence of the environment and guest experience, such as the tranquility of a relaxing morning massage at Scottsdale’s Spa Avania or the energy and vitality of an evening at Lost Pine’s Shellers Barrelhouse Bar.

“Music evokes different emotions in different people at different times – music can make you feel good, motivate you, help you relax – in short, we want Hyatt’s music to be very purposefully woven into the overall guest experience,” said Mark Barrott, founder of Music Styling and one of Hyatt’s music stylists. “While many hotels feature music in public spaces, Hyatt sought to design collections that truly bring out the indigenous personality of each property and, in conjunction with our partner Audiosuite, make these collections available for guests to enjoy even when their Hyatt stay is over.”

Playlists at both Hyatt properties were cultivated from a vast catalog of the world’s most unique and talented artists, and were assembled by local property representatives and music experts as well as a team of internationally-based stylists from Music Styling headed by Mark Barrott. Originally starting out as a performer and DJ, Barrott has completed five albums, provided music for the MTV Video Music Awards, the VH1 Worldwide Fashion Awards, composed music for many films and leading brand advertisements, as well as remixing famous artists like Tom Jones.

Hyatt music collection gift cards can be purchased on property or at the property web site www.scottsdale.hyatt.com and www.lostpines.hyatt.com. Additionally, any Web site visitor can listen to the tracks, purchase full collections via credit card, or purchase gift certificates for the collections. Tracks are not sold individually. The MP3 format allows consumers to play the tracks on any device, burn CDs and make as many copies as they like for personal use. Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch will feature five music collections throughout the property that celebrate Arizona’s contemporary artistry, its peaceful desert atmosphere and its vibrant nightlife.

These playlists include:

A colorful, yet subdued color palette promotes excitement with its use of tones inspired by the natural desert landscape. Hyatt's Newest Brand - Hyatt Place - Launched

Inspired by the emerging lifestyle of today’s multi-tasking business traveler who works more hours on the road than at home, Hyatt is a launching a new brand, Hyatt Place. It's the first hotel concept designed around a whole new mindset of consumers who are seeking the comforts of home. Hyatt uncovered results that only 10 percent of travelers were able to find a hotel that gives them what they want most: a place to stay like home.

Hyatt Place was based in part on the findings of extensive consumer research conducted by Sterling Brands uncovering the demands of a new breed of sophisticated travelers who intermingle their professional and personal lives. The study, commissioned by Hyatt, shows that more than 90 percent of traveling respondents surveyed said their work time overlaps with their personal time, leading to a blended lifestyle trend. However, only 10 percent of traveling respondents were able to find a hotel that gives them what they want.

This lifestyle trend of a projected 7.4 million Americans inspired Hyatt Place to create an environment to foster guests’ productivity, relaxation and fulfillment with an emphasis on stylish design, innovative services and comfortable amenities that people find in their everyday lives.

Additional findings from the study include:

• When working at home, 71 percent also watch TV, 53 percent listen to music and 59 percent surf the Internet

• 62 percent of all respondents enjoy time to themselves when they travel for business

• More than 40 percent said would forego sex, coffee or use of their cell phone in exchange for a good night’s sleep on the road

The hotel is leading the way among its competitors with:

• A gallery host to greet you and help with check-ins or personal tours

• High-definition televisions and 11 high-def channels

• "Plug Panels" to connect high tech gadgets like laptops and PDAs

• Free Wi-Fi access

• 20 percent more space than the average hotel room

IHG Building Hotel Indigo in Pittsburgh

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)], the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms, announced plans to build a new 135-room Hotel Indigo in the East Liberty area of Pittsburgh. Construction is anticipated to begin in second quarter 2008, with an expected opening date of fourth quarter 2009.

The five-story new build property will be owned by Governors Hotel Inc., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group. “The East Liberty area is experiencing a boom in redevelopment, with national chains, retail outlets and trendy restaurants leading the resurgence,” observed Jim Anhut, senior vice president, Brand Management, Hotel Indigo. “We feel this is the right time to bring Hotel Indigo to the heart of this enchanting neighborhood."

The hotel will be located at the intersection of Highland Avenue West and Broad Street and easily accessible to downtown Pittsburgh. The new property is also within two miles of both Pittsburgh University and Carnegie Mellon University. Within walking distance of the hotel is the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, named for Gene Kelly and Billy Strayhorn, both East Liberty natives. The hotel is also located within miles of many company headquarters including: H.J Heinz Co., Alcoa Inc., Citizens Financial Group, and Bayer Corp.

“Hotel Indigo perfectly combines the one of a kind feel of a small boutique hotel with the consistency of service and amenities you expect from a traditional brand,” said Nigel Parkinson, managing partner, Governors Hotel Inc. “The brand’s flexibility allows us to incorporate local elements into the property’s design. One of our inspirations for the hotel is the Trillium flower, native to western Pennsylvania, which we plan to feature on an exterior mural.”

Boutique hotels, known for their intimate, luxurious environments in addition to personalized accommodations and services, have gained increasing popularity throughout North America. Hotel Indigo is known as the industry's first branded boutique hotel, artfully combining the conveniences and consistencies of a brand hotel with the design cache and service personality of a boutique at an affordable price. The soul of the brand’s retail-inspired concept is renewal – thoughtful changes that are made throughout the year to keep the hotel fresh, similar to the way retailers change their window displays. The renewal concept provides even the most frequent guest a unique experience with every stay. The hotel will feature renewable elements such as vivid murals, area rugs, plush duvets and slip covers that will change periodically. Public spaces will be transformed seasonally through changing artwork, music, flora, murals and directional signage.

Hotel Indigo Pittsburgh will feature signature design elements including oversized lobby chairs, which create a personal work or dining space within the public areas of the hotel; cozy, airy and inviting guestrooms with plush bedding, hardwood-style flooring and spa-inspired showers; a Phitness studio with cardio equipment and free weights. The hotel will also offer The Golden Bean, an on-site casual gourmet restaurant and bar; a 24-hour business center, high-speed Internet access in all guestrooms and wireless in the hotel’s public areas, as well as meeting space for business functions or special events.

JIVA HILL PARK HOTEL

New Urban Resort on the French/Swiss Border Epitomizing Contemporary Elegance and Harmony with Nature

Just 10 minutes from the Geneva, Switzerland, international airport and a stone‚s throw from the charming village of Crozet, France, the chic new Jiva Hill Park Hotel is the most talked-about hotel introduction in the area in a long time. Situated on its own 70-acre park with magnificent views all around, this elegantly modern hotel perfectly integrates with its environment.

The buildings of the hotel complex are designed in a minimal architectural style, using high quality natural materials and focusing on true comfort and extraordinary attention to detail. The main building holds the lobby, wellness center with heated pool, bar, and 28 guest rooms. Six free-standing suites, a small conference center, and the Shamwari restaurant all follow the same design principles. Activities on the grounds include spa treatments, gym, tennis, golf practice, and an artificial lake for water skiing as well as stables.  Mountain hiking, skiing, golfing, excursions to nearby towns, and Lake Geneva cruises, may all be arranged by the hotel.

Jiva Hill is the vision of Ian Lundin, a business executive based in Geneva, whose desire was to create a hotel with clean contemporary lines and an art collection that would reflect those values. He and his wife Virginia put together nearly 200 original works on paper, a film, and a large sculpture, all of which compliment the easy simplicity of the hotel and reflect its beautiful environment. Represented in this collection are renowned artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Jim Dine, Alessandro Twombly, and Kcho, to name a few. The sculpture stands in the hotel‚s Japanese Garden, just off the main lobby.

The well-known Paris-based hotel interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel was commissioned to create a concept that is quite different from classic hotel designs. The lobby and reception rooms make use of warm materials such as slate, wood and leather. The colors are subdued, set off by moss green and deep violet as a reminder of the surrounding countryside. A large, joyful water color of stylized flowers is immediately in full view upon entering the lobby. Across from this is the popular hotel bar which also backs up to the covered swimming pool and a large outside teak deck with lounges and a fully equipped gym beyond. The cozy and warm Spa is on the floor below and includes treatment rooms, sauna, Jacuzzi, and hammam.

The serene views of the 28 deluxe guest rooms are of the Jura Mountains and the village of Crozet. Each of the rooms is bathed in light, which may be adjusted through translucent glass windows.  A subdued beige and brown color scheme complements the wood and slate used throughout. Bright spots of color emanate from the hotel‚s art works and chromatic touches in the decor.  Each room contains air-conditioning, telephone, mini-bar, flat-screen satellite TV, DVD and CD players, radio, high speed Internet access via wifi or LAN, safe and private terrace. The bathroom holds an oversized tub, a shower for two, two vanities, separate WC, luxury toiletries from Carita, big thirsty towels on a heated towel rack, and magnifying mirror.

The free-standing private lodges offer one bedroom, a terrace with a Jacuzzi tub, bath with twin tub and TV, and secluded garden as well as the same amenities as the rooms. Wooden beams accentuate a chalet feeling.

The restaurant, called Shamwari to reflect the Lundins‚ love for Africa, has a refined, resolutely modern setting with a harmonious ambience.  Its warm design opens onto a terrace with panoramic views of Mont Blanc.  Chef Sullivan Breton is a young, inventive chef who creates French cuisine in a skillful blend of quality, freshness and innovation with new menu selections every day. He was recently the chef at the celebrated Chateau de Coudree on Lake Geneva.  In just a few short months, Shamwari restaurant has become a popular dining place, not only for hotel guests, but for residents of the area who appreciate fine dining in elegant surroundings. There is also a private room for functions.

Sustainable tourism is evident at the hotel in many little touches. For instance, as guests walk down the hallways, lights automatically turn on and then off once they have passed to save electricity. Ecological principles have been used throughout the entire compound.

Jiva Hill Park Hotel opened in January, 2007. The superb general manager, Alain Goetschel, has been responsible for the opening of many world class hotels, the latest being the Andrassy Hotel in Budapest. The director of Sales and Marketing, Francois Baltus Languedoc, has worked eight years in the US in sales and four years in France.

A member of the Mantis Collection* and Small Luxury Hotels, this original establishment is perfectly situated for visitors who plan a stay in Geneva but who prefer the serenity of the countryside while being close to the city.  Or, it is the ideal centrally-located getaway for leisure or for a small corporate meeting.

Rates for the Deluxe Rooms start at $395** and the Junior Suites start at $668** per room per day, double occupancy. Rates depend upon the season. All meals are per person and animals are welcome at $27 per night.

Mandarin Oriental Rejuvenation Awaits At the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo has introduced “The Skin Oxygen Miracle Lift”, a unique facial treatment featuring the natural, anti-aging therapies of Daniele de Winter Monaco. Developed in collaboration with the Monte Carlo-based luxury beauty brand, the new treatment utilises Daniele de Winter INSIDEOUT beauty™ botanical skincare products and 100% natural Shotbeaute beauty drinks in a luxurious, 110-minute session involving specially developed massage techniques. The overall experience makes a visible difference, resulting in a smoother, firmer, rejuvenated complexion.

The initiative is the latest in the award-winning hotel group’s mission to create new spa experiences that are setting industry standards worldwide. Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo’s Spa Director, Kirsty MacCormick together with Bernadatte Da Silva Fava, Group Spa Trainer for Asia for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group have developed “The Skin Oxygen Miracle Lift” anti-aging facial treatment. The Spa’s own massage techniques work in synergy with the beauty system’s anti-aging products to effectively reduce lines, increase elasticity, and aid skin renewal.

The scientifically formulated products are rich in natural proteins, enzymes and powerful antioxidants that are said to counteract three fundamental causes of aging by fighting against cell-damaging free radicals, repairing damaged collagen fibres, and rehydrating epidermal cells. Recognizing both the scientific integrity behind the skincare range, as well as its holistic philosophy that “beauty and health are inseparable,”

The facial uses no intrusive equipment, relying solely on the healing power of the products and the Spa’s highly trained therapists’ hands to purify, drain, and stimulate deep tissue during a three-part massage that effectively delivers the nutrients essential to lasting skin vitality and beauty to all layers of the skin. Because the skin is rejuvenated naturally from both inside and out, a glowing, healthful look is achieved.

The price for the 110-minute facial is JPY46,000, exclusive of 10% service charge. As the regimen’s efficacy increases over repeated use, a recommended package of twelve treatments is offered for JPY460,000, exclusive of 10% service charge.

Information and reservations can be made by calling The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo at +81 03-3270-8300 daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Spa is located on the 37th floor of Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo.

MARRIOTT GOLF INTRODUCES “KIDS RENT-4-FREE” AS PART OF THE HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL “KIDS GOLF-4-FREE” PROGRAM

Marriott Golf (www.marriottgolf.com), one of the world’s premier golf operators and the world’s largest resort golf management company, today enhanced its popular “Kids Golf-4-Free” program by teaming up with OnTrack Sports, LLC, makers of Accu-Length Expandable Junior Golf Clubs, on a 2007 “Kids Rent-4-Free” Program. The new program, which is available at 37 of Marriott Golf’s most prestigious resort destinations, provides children 15 years old and under with a free rental set of Accu-Length clubs when they participate in the “Kids Golf-4-Free” program and play golf, or take lessons, alongside of a paying adult.

Launched in May 2006, Marriott Golf’s acclaimed “Kids Golf-4-Free” program allows children to play golf for free when accompanied by a full paying adult after 3:00 p.m. With golf resorts like Shadow Ridge (Palm Desert, California), Stone Mountain Golf Club (Atlanta, Georgia) and Dalmahoy Country Club (Edinburgh, Scotland) among the 53 golf courses participating in “Kids Golf-4-Free,” not only are junior golfers being introduced to some of the finest golf courses in the world, but adults and kids can now play and learn together whether on vacation, or simply sharing quality family time. In fact, Marriott Golf also offers free lessons to kids 15 years old and under when accompanied by an adult who is taking a fully paid lesson from a Marriott Golf instructor.

In teaming up with Accu-Length Expandable Junior Golf Clubs for the free rental club program, Marriott Golf is providing kids with the only custom fit junior clubs that actually grow with a child. The Accu-Length System has revolutionized junior golf by simply allowing the equipment to be custom fit for children no matter their height, talent or experience. This enables a junior golfer to truly develop the perfect swing. As part of their relationship with Marriott Golf, OnTrack Sports will provide each participating Marriott Golf course with a full line of Accu-Length junior golf clubs for use with the “Kids Rent-4-Free” program. In addition, numerous Marriott managed golf clubs will carry Accu-Length Expandable Junior Golf Clubs for purchase in the golf shops.

“The ‘Kids Golf-4-Free’ program has been an overwhelming success for Marriott Golf on a worldwide scale and it has gone a long way in helping us to further promote junior golf,” said Claye Atcheson, vice president of operations, Marriott Golf. “This relationship with Accu-Length is the perfect complement to the “Kids Golf-4-Free’ program, as it enables us to provide a complimentary set of rental clubs to all kids playing at our courses.”

“We are very excited to team up with Marriott Golf and introduce Accu-Length junior golf clubs to families participating in the ‘Kids Golf-4-Free’ program,” said Rick Rutter, President, OnTrack Sports. “With such a wide range of kids participating in the program, Accu-Length has the ability to ‘fit’ a child regardless of their size, which makes this the perfect junior golf rental program.”
